GWITA encourages women to go beyond trading and into manufacturing and value addition. Our goal is to help women-led businesses grow from small-scale trading to industrial production.

Product Development & Value Addition

  • Training in product differentiation, branding, and packaging to enhance competitiveness.
  • Encouraging innovation through technology adoption in manufacturing.
  • Facilitating access to funding and grants to scale up production.

Industrial & Technical Support

  • Partnering with manufacturing hubs, industrial zones, and production facilities to provide workspace and resources.
  • Helping members acquire machinery and raw materials at competitive prices.
  • Facilitating collaboration between artisans, designers, and manufacturers to create high-quality products.

Promoting Made-in-Ghana Goods

  • Running campaigns to encourage the purchase and export of locally-made products.
  • Supporting members in gaining certifications like Ghana Standards Authority (GSA) and Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) approvals.

Outcome: Women entrepreneurs transition from small-scale trading to large-scale production, creating jobs and increasing revenue.
